Joining the Costuming Fans

I created a new page based on my cosplay called, well, Catapilla Cosplay. I've been dressing up at conventions since 2002 but really got into it last year and met so many amazing people being part of a parody series and the audience for my friend's cosplay show. If you are on Facebook, check it out, maybe give it a like.

Current cosplay includes:

Neo from "The Matrix";

Sherlock Holmes from BBC's "Sherlock" series;

I have also been a Blues Brother with my friends at Give-No-Effs Cosplay. Check them out and give them a like too;

And teamed up with Notchback K.I.T.T. to cosplay Knight Rider. I was the first Michael Knight cosplayer they have seen.

Past is present, no, really

Some musican friends of mine recently reminded me that the former version of this site is alive, thanks to geocites.ws which archived many of the sites hosted by GeoCities after it was aquired by Yahoo! and shut down in 2009. Most of that content will be replicated here eventually but that part of my life is over. I see less live music now, maybe a couple shows a year. Most of the bands I followed have broken up or the artists have moved onto new projects like raising families or saving the world. Laura Cheadle, Loretta Allen, JAB and Tara Hendricks (tara girl) are still active and Greg Harrigan has a new band. But another part of that site could be coming back to life. I can't say too much about it but it looks promising.

He's Just The Professor

I mentioned I was shooting something back in November, the project was hush-hush until now. Here is the link to the resulting episode of the pop-culture parody series Professor O'What - Recruiting Day. Basically, the Professor (based upon The Doctor from "Doctor Who") is looking for a companion and he interviews quite a few interesting characters, many based on popular sci fi or comic heroes! I appear as "The One" and contributed some of the stuffed dog props in the film. Check out Sci Fi Geek Productions for more information and some of their other projects.

Wait, there's already a 13th Doctor?

For Friday the 13th I'd like to share this video my friend Darth Devious put together during downtime at a recent shoot for a film I can't talk about quite yet. I am Neo in it and did some of the camera work.

They're a Knockout

Former members of Blue Sinatra and Fantastic Plant are now part of a new evolution, Sonny Knockout. Their first show was at Connie's Ric Rac in the Italian Market in Philadelphia. The biggest difference in this band is leader Greg Harrigan handing lead guitar duties in a tighter, louder-rocking four-piece unit.
